Welsh Highland Railway - The Wilderness Years #145
A series of 150 pictures showing the disused Welsh Highland Railway. The railway alignment in Portmadoc looking in the Dinas/Caernarfon direction. The white rendered house marks the position of the level crossing over Snowdon Street. Just behind the camera position is the point where the revived WHR makes a deviation from the original alignment and follows a new route to Britannia Bridge where it rejoins the old formation. This section of line reopened to passenger trains in 2011. OS grid reference: SH570388 5th May 1990.
